Cuilsight is a sensory state that allows one to perceive cuil flux, and in rare cases (sometimes called 'flowsight'), distributions of anomalous flow. This allows them to see a variety of anomalous phenomenon such as most psionic abilities such as curses and boons, invisible flux constructs, a psion's flux pool (including their own), and natural anomalies such as vortices.
Obviously, such an ability is highly useful and can be done typically through the use of psionic cuilsight or psionic technology. Psionic cuilsight utilizes the psion's flux as a lens, condensing it solid over their eyes and allowing them to perceive flux; however, it is fairly difficult to do and if not dense enough, it will only allow for a blurry image to be seen. Another means of cuilsight is through the use of a carefully crafted octarine glass lens that is suffused with flux, providing the same benefit without the need to be a psion. There also exist other methods of cuilsight, such as racial abilities or metapharmaceuticals such as cultivator's sight.
Though useful, cuilsight comes with two minor drawbacks; the first is that flux is perceived as if it were real, meaning it can also obstruct your vision if it is covering something. The other drawback is that perceiving large amounts of flux can cause visual sensory overload. This can occur when a large number of psions are in one spot, or if one is looking at an entity with a very large amount of flux. Non-awakened individuals are more suspecptible to this sensory overload.
Psionic Cuilsight
Psionic cuilsight can be obtained with the common flux/flow manipulation ability "cuilsight". It is fairly difficult to train as it requires condensing your flux into a completely solid state, and is typically taught by a teacher. Cuilsight is also a powerful tool for detecting other psions, though one's presence can be hidden from cuilsight using expel flow.
