Medical prosthetics are quite advanced in the 32nd century. They are made from strong, light materials, using powerful long-lasting power sources that can last a lifetime with normal use. They connect directly to the body via hard neural links. They provide full sensory information at comparable level of detail to biological limbs. They can be disguised to cosmetically to look and feel like true biological limbs. While objectively superior, most sentient beings prefer having natural body parts.
