Soft neural links are links created through actively scanning nerves or the brand for information while interacting using information that is able to travel harmlessly through tissues. Such beamed information can be accomplished with precise electron beams, microwaves, sub-millimeter radiation, electromagnetic electrodes, or a variety of more exotic strategies.
Hard neural links are created by connecting a device directly to nerves or brand. These links are more secure and less prone to interference. However, due to the intrusive nature of the surgery and prevalence of excellent soft link technologies, hard links are generally reserved for prosthetics and less common applications.
