One of the most popular forms of simulation and gaming, virtual reality, also called VR, involves tapping into a user's neurological organ system and 'tricking' it into perceiving reality as one that is not present in the real world, using advanced computational and programming techniques paired with modern neurological advancements to give simulations that are completely identical with that of real life, even being capable of replicating unique feelings such as all the senses, intuition, and even pain. Advancements in artificial intelligence even allow for the use of 'NPCs' that can even appear in the same likeness of real players, in many games even being capable of outsmarting the player without advanced meta-knowledge or set programming. In addition, because of the vivid detail VR games can give, they can often be addictive as a method of 'escaping reality'.
