ΒΆ Civilized Space

Civilized Space, colloquially known as 'Civspace', is a large sociopolitical zone that makes up the majority of the 'east' half of the Milky Way. Civspace is the space controlled by a variety of different independent factions and empires that are held by a collection of treaties, agreements, border agreements managed by an UN-style organization called the 'United Coalition of Empires', or the UCE. The role of the United Coalition of Empires is to standardize laws, trade, and migration while also providing a means of diplomatic cooperation, similar of that to the United Nations, but with more room for enforcement of laws and regulations and outreach.
Though the goal of the UCE is to maintain peace and diplomacy between its member states, recently there have been several instances where it has failed in this endeavor. Examples include events such as the Hylotl-Floran War and the Galactic War.
