The largest ship size that isn't classified as a space station capable of interstellar travel, the battleship often exists as the flagship of an armada, expensive to manage, deadly to use, an active Battleship is the harbinger of the sign that a bloody and destructive battle is about to occur. These mobile citadels are capable of raining a torrent of hellfire down upon those who attack them, and are often only stopped either by a coordinated effort by other large ships with exceptional tactical strategy, or by a surprise attack during a period of weakness after exiting long FTL travel, such as was the fate of the Godus Flagship in the year 3282. Although not built to contain nearly as many craft as a carrier, battleships are capable of deploying small groups of craft to defend against attempts at boarding the ship and taking it from the inside.
Most, if not all, Battleships are capable of deep-space travel, with exceptionally powerful electromagnetic and kinetic field generators built into the hull to allow for a Battleship to spend months in deep-space between planets and systems where they can take port. The hull armor of a battleship is some of the most protective armor that can be found in the Galaxy outside of defensive space stations, requiring that a massive assault be done to breach the hull of such a ship. Weaponry consists of large mass drivers and railguns, assorted ordnance, and the ability to deploy small ships for close-range defense. Ships such as these can often also carry signature, custom weapons due to their importance in a fleet or armada, meant to intimidate and strike fear into those who encounter them. Crews of 100 or more man these ships, tending to their upkeep and making sure that they multitude of systems that enable them to run are in ship-shape.
Length: 570-640 m
Height: 360-490 m
Width: 320-480 m
Of these specifications, the longest dimension shall be treated as the ship's 'length', followed by height, and then width.
