A ship's tachyonic comms system is a small-scale tachyonic antennae or dish that can send or receive information from the Galactic Nexus. For most Frigate class and under ships, tachyonic comms are low bandwidth and low range due to their size and power restrictions. The range of a ship's tachyonic comms is approximately 3,500 Ly for most ships.
