A localized anomaly is defined as an object, location, or individual which is the result of emergent Psionics by a collective’s consciousness, achieving a bizarre effect. These are differentiated from psionics by their operation; Most objects have invisible flux on account of being unsentient, or have their flux dispersed over a wide area- Meaning cuilsight is ineffective in spotting them. Some stronger anomalies can be detected with anomaly sense when active. Despite this, there are rare circumstances in which psionic abilities can result in the creation of a localized anomaly.
Most localized anomalies cause no raise in cuils around them at all, until their anomalous property is displayed. Contact with objects or effects that impose order upon anomaly, such as normantium, does not have a universal effect on these items. Some remain unaffected by it, some have their properties suppressed until the effect is removed, and some are irreparably broken by this. There is usually only one way to find out.
The Four Witness Neo-Orthodox Church - A large church building near the center of Old Corrav, founded soon after the district itself. The interior is wooden, and possesses no more rooms than is necessary for a sermon. Notably, the kinetic blast seemed to have little effect on it. When a sacred or philosophical text enters the building that does not align to the appropriate religious views, a red sludge seems from the corners of the ceiling and base of the walls. This mixture is 50-50 blood and mucus, both of varying races. No DNA test for this blood has come up with a living individual, though several deceased ministers have been verified.
The Wild Hunt - Object is a wooden wagon painted green and brown, with room enough to hold six people, and a coach. 'The Wild Hunt' is written on the back, stylized as leaves. Behavior of the item during daylight hours is as expected, however, after sunset, the wagon vanishes. This disappearance only occurs when it is unobserved, and is marked by hoofprints in the spot it had once been. Attempted continuous observation by robots has successfully stopped it from moving. The following night it disappeared, and did not reappear for two weeks. Any vehicles placed near the Wagon share its anomalous properties. This lasts only until they are seperated.
Hermit's Tears - Objects are small crystals in the shapes of tear drops. All objects originate from Precursor Being 'the Hermit', and when grasped, cause a specific, triggered emotional response. These emotional states are immune to tampering by all tested substances and individuals.
Shu Lison - Subject is a 139 year old dementia patient living in the West Groves Home for the Wizened. He is noted as an upbeat but confused man, with a love for checkers and an unforgettable brownie recipe. Shu is by all accounts a normal Hylotl, and has been for most of his life. However, when around people of his age group, Shu's symptoms will lessen, but the symptoms seen in them will strengthen. This can lead to individuals gaining dementia altogether. Such effects are permanent with one notable exception; Mister Lison himself.
Writing a Localized Anomaly
There is no format for apping or grading a Localized Anomaly, but they must be talked over with at least two staff members, one of which is a Psionic Loremaster. It is encouraged to practice moderation in using these; Anomalies that are intended to be loot should be specified as such. As always, psionics and anomalies are a privilege.
